iciHaiti - Insecurity : Armed men seize an ambulance
Dr Didié Hérold Louis, Director of the National Ambulance Center (CAN) of the Ministry of Public Health, informs the police and judicial authorities and the population in general that during the night from June 30 to July 1, 2020, between midnight and 1:00 a.m. morning armed men seized an ambluance registered SE-03636, in the locality of Savien, between Pont-Sondé and Carrefour Pèy (Dept. Artibonite).
This ambulance assigned to the North/North East Network, came from the University Hospital of Mirebalais where a patient transferred from the Saint-Jean du Limbé Hospital had been transported.
Dr Didié Hérold declines all responsibility for the use of this ambulance and calls for the intervention of the authorities concerned to find and bring this vehicle back to the ambulance fleet, so that the CAN can continue to do its job effectively
