Tuesday, July 14, as part of improving the living conditions of the most vulnerable, Prime Minister Joseph Jouthe, installed the former Minister of Tourism Colombe Emilie Jessy Ménos as Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister Minister responsible for human rights and the fight against extreme poverty.

The Head of Government stressed that the development of the country necessarily involves "the effort to build a Republic which values its citizens and makes them able to enjoy all their fundamental rights, inalienable and imprescriptible to life, liberty and The pursuit of happiness."

In her speech, the Minister Delegate Ménos said she was ready to work with all sectors and urged them to strengthen the partnership with human rights organizations "for the advent of a socially just, economically free and politically independent Nation and stable."

Aware that her appointment meets the requirements for better coordination of government action in the field of human rights, Ms. Ménos promised to work to ensure that Haiti remains a reference in the field.
