iciHaiti - Health : A little more than 50 physiotherapists in Haiti
Physiotherapy rehabilitates people who suffer from a physical disability after an accident or in other circumstances. It allows a person to adapt to their new condition and to their environment, a way of living better.

According to article 16 of the Disabled Integration Acts, the State recognizes that physiotherapy is important to the lives of disabled people. This is an element of health rights as required by article 25 of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

Let's note that in Haiti today there are just over 50 licensed professional physiotherapists who provide services to the population. The Government offers this care in Cap Haitien, Jacmel and Port-au-Prince. These services are also available in some private institutions.
