iciHaiti - Tourism : Inauguration of the Vincent Ogé public square
The past week, Jean Myriam, the Minister of Tourism proceeded to the inauguration of the rehabilitation of the Vincent Ogé public square in the commune of Dondon (North Dept.), wshose works have been financed by the World Bank within the framework of of the "Heritage Preservation and Support for the Tourism Sector" (PAST) project to the tune of 38 million Gourdes.

Accompanied by the Municipal Councilor, Mme Heureuse Eugène, the Executive Director of the Technical Execution Unit of the Ministry of the Economy and Finance, Pierre Michel Joassaint, the Vice-delegate of the district, Paho Fidel, the Director of the Institute for the Protection of National Heritage (lSPAN) and representatives of the World Bank, Minister Jean renewed the Government's commitment to restore its credentials to the Far North as an essential region for the tourism development of Haiti.

The Minister stressed that the inauguration of this public square is not only part of the Government's efforts to make the commune of Dondon, which is an area with high tourist potential, more attractive, but also to provide it with a sustainable infrastructure in entertainment and leisure space for residents.
