iciHaiti - USAID : Support for Agricultural Research and Development

"As part of the Feed the Future project Support for Agricultural Research and Development (AREA), with the support of the American Agency for International Development (USAID-Haiti), 2,000 students, agricultural professionals and farmers were trained to reduce post-harvest losses, increase food security, improve agricultural research and extension, and better manage pests.
Most importantly, funding for 31 researchers and university leaders improved their teaching, research and agricultural advisory capacities.
As the Haitian proverb says, "Yon sèl dwèt pa manje kalalou". This project demonstrates the importance of partnerships so that we can succeed together," said Chris Cushing, USAID / Haiti Director.
