The month of November 2020 was marked by 60 earthquakes of magnitudes between 1.3 and 3.4 over the entire national territory, according to the seismic report for the month of November 2020, based on the events recorded by the national seismological networks and regional (Ayiti-earthquakes, UTS-BME, RD-OSPL-Loyola).

Compared to the month of October 2020 during which only 27 earthquakes were noted, the month of November (60 earthquakes) saw an increase of around 122%;

The 3 geographic departments most affected by minor earthquakes in November are:

- the North-West with 19 earthquakes out of 60, or 31.6%;
- the West with 19 earthquakes out of 60, or 31.6%;
- the South-East with 16 earthquakes out of 60, or 26.6%;

Or a total of 54 earthquakes out of 60 for the three departments, which represents nearly 90% of the earthquakes recorded for the month.

Nearly 20 earthquakes have occurred at sea, posing a tsunami risk if the conditions are met;

The earthquakes of November 2020 occurred, for the most part, at depths varying between 2 and 66 km, therefore shallow earthquakes;

During the first 11 months of the year 2020 (from January to November), the national territory recorded 472 small earthquakes of which 162, or 34.3%, occurred in the North-West department and 125, or 26.5%, in the South-East department.
