Compared to the month of October 2020 during which only 27 earthquakes were noted, the month of November (60 earthquakes) saw an increase of around 122%; The 3 geographic departments most affected by minor earthquakes in November are: - the North-West with 19 earthquakes out of 60, or 31.6%; - the West with 19 earthquakes out of 60, or 31.6%; - the South-East with 16 earthquakes out of 60, or 26.6%; Or a total of 54 earthquakes out of 60 for the three departments, which represents nearly 90% of the earthquakes recorded for the month. Nearly 20 earthquakes have occurred at sea, posing a tsunami risk if the conditions are met; The earthquakes of November 2020 occurred, for the most part, at depths varying between 2 and 66 km, therefore shallow earthquakes; During the first 11 months of the year 2020 (from January to November), the national territory recorded 472 small earthquakes of which 162, or 34.3%, occurred in the North-West department and 125, or 26.5%, in the South-East department.
