Thursday afternoon, a bomb threat was registered at the Embassy of Haiti, located 3200 avenue Figueroa Alcorta in the Belgrano district of Buenos Aires (Argentina).

As a police source explained, someone left a backpack at the door of the diplomatic mission and left it there.

After alerting the authorities, the federal police and the municipal police deployed a major operation with the help of firefighters. The authorities evacuated the scene and examined the item containing the explosives.

According to federal police, a cursory inspection of the backpack gave a negative result, meaning that inside the bag there did not appear to be any device that could cause an explosion.

However, after evacuating the scene and clearing the perimeter, the explosives brigade neutralized the backpack by carrying out a controlled explosion.
