Monday evening around 11:00 a.m. Fincilair Caleb, student of NS3 of Lycée Faustin Soulouque, who was returning home by motorcycle after a cultural program organized on the courtyard of Lycée Faustin Soulouque on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of this establishment, was caught in a ambush at the corner of Avenue La Liberté and Rue Républicaine in Petit-Goâve, where unidentified individuals threw stones at him, one of which hit him violently in the head, seriously injuring him.

Caleb was rushed to Notre Dame Hospital in Petit-Goâve, however, due to the severity of his condition, he was transferred to Bernard Mews Hospital in critical condition.

According to the information gathered, Caleb would have had an altercation with a group of young people at the Lycée during the course of the cultural program, his comrades would have advised him to go home, which he did before returning later we learned from by Pierrevilus Jean Elius Director of the Lycée who deplores this drama which took place very far from the Lycée.
