iciHaiti - Insecurity : The Minister of the Interior multiplies the working sessions
Louis Gonzague Edner Day, the acting Minister of the Interior held several working sessions this week with Vice-Delegates of the districts of Port-au-Prince on the issue of territorial security and political information to the country wide. All threats are taken into account, whether they are the proliferation of gangs, firearms and drugs trafficking, cattle theft, kidnapping as well as the dangers of natural disasters for the population, increased by environmental degradation.

In addition to the need to combine efforts and ensure a regular and constant sharing of information between the various State actors, the question of the use of technological tools within the framework of the law and the preservation of individual freedoms was also approached in order to fight bandits on an equal footing in the era of cybercrime.

Minister Day also held sessions with Interim Executive Agents, Municipal Sections Administration Advisors (CASEC), Municipal Sections Administration Advisors (ASEC) and City Delegates. These working sessions mainly focused on security and the level of preparations for the celebration of the National Flag and University Day on May 18.
