iciHaiti - REMINDER : Ban on graduation ceremonies in schools
Alerted by several parents and educational agents concerning the graduation celebrations and other similar activities that are being planned by school officials for this end of the 2020-2021 academic year, the Ministry of National Education recalls, once again, the formal prohibition on principals of schools to organizes in schools or authorizing elsewhere graduation ceremonies or any other similar activities of large gatherings of crowds.
This decision, implemented on instructions from the health and scientific authorities, is provisional, given the many cases of Covid-19 identified across the country. Its main purpose is to protect the students, the staff of these establishments and the parents.
Any violator is liable to penalties up to and including the withdrawal of the school's authorization, accreditation or operating license.
