As part of the celebration of the 66 years of the "konpa dirèk" Jean Emmanuel JACQUET the new Minister of Culture recalls that from the birth of the compas direct [1995] to the present day, many "musical groups and legendary figures have followed the paths traced by Nemours Jean-Baptiste considered to be the founding father of the compass."

Citing among these tenors who have allowed the Compas to exist for decades "the Difficiles and the Gypsies of Pétion-Ville, Shleu shleu, Skah-shah, Tabou combo, Système band, Tropicana d'Haïti, Magnum band, Volo Volo, the Orchester Septentrional the Ensemble Select Coupé Cloué, Sweet Micky, Top Vice, Zin, Fantoms, Zenglen, T-Vice, Riské, Siwomyèl, Djakout Mizik, Artiz, Nu look, Carimi, Kreyòl la, Kaï, Vayb, Konpa O Féminin, Zafèm, Enposib."

Minister JACQUET would like to greet all the players in the production chain and the HMI Sensational Flav. "His tributes go first to the places of creators and musicians and extend to promoters and producers, to record companies... and lovers of compass music and dance."

Without forgetting "the Ayitidans group, thanks to which the spotlight is finally on the compas dance. Beautiful energy ! The recent initiative of this group contributes, among others, to charting the path which should lead, without a shadow of a doubt, towards the professionalization of this dance," underlines the Minister.
