iciHaiti - Marion Dam : Important mission of the DINEPA

Guito Édouard, the Director General of the National Directorate of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DINEPA), at the head of a large delegation made a reconnaissance visit to the Marion dam, which is located in the new town of Grand Bassin, North-East department. In addition to the Director General, this delegation was made up of the Director of the Regional Office for Drinking Water and Sanitation (OREPA North), the Engineer Pierre Bernardin Poisson, the Great North Project Manager, the Engineer Sindy Farrah Cyprien, from a team of Cuban technicians as well as executives and technicians from DINEPA.
This visit intervene more than 4 months, after the inauguration on May 1st of the dam by the late President Jovenel Moïse hhttps://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-33620-haiti-politic-official-inauguration-of-the-marion-dam.html is crucial for DINEPA because it will allow it to properly plan its participation in the provisional management of the site and the deployment of management staff.
Very soon, DINEPA will be able to use, thanks to funding from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the surface water from the dam in the drinking water networks of the municipalities of Terrier-Rouge and Perches alongside of course those from Grand-Bassin, these municipalities will be able to benefit from the benefits of this important hydraulic infrastructure that is the Marion dam.
