iciHaiti - Security : The Rectorate of the UEH condemns the kidnapping of Patrice Derenoncourt 23/10/2021 10:22:29
The Rectorate of the State University of Haiti strongly denounces and condemns this umpteenth kidnapping of a member of the university community. The Rectorate, while providing support to the families, friends and colleagues and students of Professor Derenoncourt, calls for his immediate and unconditional release. The Rectorate feels extremely indignanted at the security situation which is degenerating day by day. Once again, he urges the authorities to get to work to restore the climate of security necessary to allow everyone to go about their business freely and without worry. It is inconceivable that the field should be left to people who sow terror and at the same time put Haitian families in debt and mourning. The society must finally say stop ! The Rectorate reiterates its call to the elites, to the living forces and to Haitian society in general to form a common front to stop this descent into hell that our dear homeland is experiencing.
