iciHaiti - Insecurity : Kidnapping of a graduating nursing student
In a note, the Rectorate of the State University of Haiti (UEH) says it learned "with great dismay" of the kidnapping of Fabiola Payen, a graduating nursing student at the National School of Nurses of Port-au-Prince (ENIP) which occurred on February 15, 2022 near the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy at Rue Oswald Durand.

"The Rectorate denounces and condemns with all its force the kidnapping of this graduating student who was preparing to support her final dissertation at ENIP and calls for her immediate and unconditional release.

The population in general and the university community in particular are fed up with this wave of generalized insecurity which only sows mourning and further impoverishes the most disadvantaged sections of the country.

The Rectorate will never cease to reiterate its call to the authorities concerned, to the Haitian elites and to society in general to definitively reverse the trends of what appears to be the chronicle of an announced decline of the First Black Republic of the world."
