iciHaiti - UEH : Assassination of Professor Jacques Faubert Etienne
Tuesday, not far from the Saint François de Sales hospital, in downtown Port-au-Prince, the engineer Jacques Faubert Etienne, Professor at the Faculty of Sciences also responsible for auditing information systems at the level of the Central Bank was shot dead by armed individuals while he tried to escape to a kidnapping.

Wednesday, February 23 in response to this assassination, the Council of Deans of the State University of Haiti, (UEH) meeting under the direction of the Executive Council, decided to close the premises of the UEH on March 7 and 8, 2022 as a sign of protest against the vertiginous rise in insecurity and the indolence of the State authorities in the face of the phenomenon, emphasizing "Jacques Faubert Etienne, joins the endless list of professors, executives and citizens assassinated, of whom it would be expensive to name names here. At the same time the list of kidnappings of honest, peaceful, hard-working citizens grows [...]"

The Council of Deans calls once again on the highest authorities of the State, the intellectual, economic and political elites and all the living forces of the Nation so that they now take the decision to stop the descent into hell of our country seriously threatened in its existence.
