Friday, August 19, 2022, the Embassy of Taiwan (Republic of China) proceeded during a ceremony, to the presentation of scholarship certificates to 26 Haitian students selected on the basis of competition administered by the Taiwanese government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Since 2004, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Taiwan has allowed approximately 182 young Haitians to pursue their higher education in Taiwan. This year, 26 other young Haitians have benefited from this program, including 22 who hold an excellence scholarship from Taiwan (Republic of China) and 4 others from the International Cooperation and Development Fund (CDF), a program that began in 1998.

This year, 3 additional scholarships have been added compared to 2021

Tuesday 4 of the scholarship students left Haiti for Taiwan, the 22 others will leave Haiti on September 7th.
