Tuesday, August 30 in the afternoon, an armed individual identified as Jean Joseph was fatally injured in exchanges of fire with the Police, in Torcelle in the heights of Pétion-ville.

Jean Joseph had just killed a motorcycle driver named Osner Chery and was trying to escape with the victim's motorcycle when he was chased by a patrol from the Departmental Unit for Maintaining Order (UDMO) West 2 , whose mission is to maintain a safe climate on the Eddy-One / Torcelle section.

In his attempt to escape, the bandit used his weapon and shot at the police who immediately responded.
