iciHaiti - Economy : Resumption of activities of the CODEVI free zone park
Monday, October 3rd, 2022, the activities of the free zone park of the CODEVI Industrial Development Company located in the Ounaminthe / Dajabón border area, resumed after the incidents of September 29, in the presence of specialized units of the National Police of Haiti (PNH).

Although not all Haitian staff showed up, the majority of Dominicans (5% of jobs) went to work and reported that the situation was absolutely calm.

In an October 3rd statement, CODEVI said "With a strong and firm commitment to maintaining and creating even more jobs every day in both countries and after a comprehensive process of planning and reviewing security protocols, the CODEVI park restarted its operations today. We ensure the stability and continuity of our 20,000 formal jobs, customers and tenants, suppliers and related parties. The well-being of thousands of families will be guaranteed. We appreciate the support provided, among others, by the authorities of both countries."

Note that CODEVI has not yet published an official report on the damage suffered in its facilities, where the images broadcast in photos and video on social networks show the extent of the damage.
