Monday, October 3rd, 2022 for their opening match Haiti faced Cuba, one of the best teams in the area and one of the world's tenors Despite having the smallest height average in the tournament, 1.77m, our players made a good impression. They started the match with their usual combativeness which allowed them to surprise the Cubans. Authors of 9 blocks in the first act, they attacked the Cubans and won the first set (25-18) to take the lead on the scoreboard. At home, the Cuban volleyball players quickly reacted by adjusting their game around the duo Gonzalez (18 points) and Camino (17 points) to win the next two sets (25-17, 25-11). After having succeeded without fault in Trinidad, Haiti suffered its first defeat in international competition. Tuesday, October 4 our players faced Canada who defeated them 25-17, 25-19 and 25-14.
