The well-known journalist Francklin Tamar (38 years old) from the North West, host of the cultural programs "Konpa konpa" and "Samedi Culture" on Radio Solidarité was fatally injured by several projectiles fired by unidentified individuals traveling on motorcycles, Sunday December 18 at the end of the day, near his home at the bottom of Cameau alley, not far from Street Monseigneur Guilloux (Port-au-Prince)

Reacting to this new journalistic crime, Emmelie Prophète Milcé the Minister of Communication "[...] deplores with the greatest vehemence this crime which once again plunges the Haitian cultural and journalistic world into mourning. Minister Prophète Milcé presents her condolences to the relatives of the deceased, to the staff of Radio Solidarité and to members of the press in general."
