Saturday April 15, 2023, the Divisional Commissioner Daniel Compère, Departmental Director of the Police in the South, accompanied by Me Ronald Richemond Chief of the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Jurisdiction of Les Cayes, proceeded to the dismantling of a ghetto, located in the area of "Kay Jano" where armed bandits committed abuses against the population.

Armed robbery, rape, phone theft and vehicle theft are some of the acts of which citizens frequenting this area were victims, especially after dark.

Following the dismantling of this ghetto by the Police, members of the population applauded this initiative which aims to create a climate of peace where they can go about their business with complete peace of mind.
