As part of the 2023 spring campaign, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO - Haiti) distributed 10 tons of pigeon pea seeds, 5 tons of chicken corn seeds and 300,000 cassava cuttings to 1,000 farming households in several communes of the South department.

In collaboration with the Group for Research and Expertise in Local Development in Haiti (GREDELH), it distributed agricultural input kits to 181 men and 219 women, including 10 people with reduced mobility in the commune of Les Cayes.

FAO also distributed agricultural input kits in the communes of Maniche. This intervention benefited 145 men and 155 women, including 9 people with reduced mobility

In the commune of Cavaillon, 187 men and 113 women, including 10 with reduced mobility, were able to benefit from agricultural input kits from FAO-Haiti.

It distributed 540 goats in Maniche, 540 goats in Cavaillon and 720 goats in Les Cayes at the rate of 2 goats per household. FAO also distributed 40 goats to 40 households in the commune of Les Cayes; 25 goats were distributed in Cavaillon to 25 households and 6 goats in Maniche to 6 households.
