iciHaiti - FAES : Substantial monetary assistance to more than 42,000 subcontracting workers
The Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES) continues to support subcontracted workers. The Ministry of Social Affairs via the FAES) will make new monetary transfers.

A total of 42,304 workers from 31 subcontracting factories will receive aid of 5,000 gourdes monthly until September 2023.

They will receive 5,000 gourdes monthly until September 2023. This aid aims to support the workers in the face of the increase in the price of petroleum products and to cover their transport costs as well as meal costs.

This initiative is part of the implementation of the multi-sectoral emergency program for the relief and reintegration of vulnerable groups launched by the government.

The initial target was 60,000 subcontracted workers, but so far 42,304 workers are beneficiaries.

The FAES with the support of the Association of Industries of Haiti (ADIH) is working so that all targeted workers can obtain this allowance. The funds will be transferred to the accounts of the various companies selected which, in turn, will have to pay the monthly installments of the subsidy to their respective employees.
