The Government of Ariel Henry published in the special issue #12 of the Official Journal "Le Moniteur" a decree sanctioning money laundering, the financing of terrorism and the financing of the proliferation of weapons in Haiti.

This decree completely repeals the law of February 21, 2001, those of November 11, 2013 and September 28, 2016 sanctioning money laundering and the financing of terrorism. From now on, a state that accuses a Haitian citizen of money laundering can ask the Haitian State for his extradition, according to this decree.

In addition, articles 153 to 167 of this decree (of 189 articles) specify that the Haitian State has a legal means to freeze the funds of anyone accused of money laundering and financing gangs and terrorism.
