The National Ambulance Center (CAN), has sent us its summary statistical report, of the pre-hospital care of the various emergency cases carried out by the Center during the month of June 2023...

Of the 708 cases handled by the CAN in June 2023 (-3.4% compared to the previous month https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-39727-icihaiti-health-report-of-the-national-ambulance-center-may-2023.html ), transfers (28%) and obstetrical emergencies (15%) were the two most important items

Number and types of interventions:

28 suspected cholera cases;

3 confirmed cholera cases;

61 cases of respiratory distress (not associated with Covid-19);

67 cases of chronic diseases (various pathologies);

108 obstetric emergencies;

36 Public Road Accidents;

199 transfers (references & laboratory tests);

104 traumas (injuries & fractures of varying degrees);

3 bullet wounds;

12 stab wounds;

10 burns;

77 various conditions (malaise, diarrhoea, fever, anemia, abdominal pain, etc.).

Of the 708 cases handled by the CAN: 475 interventions took place in the West, 80 in the Artibonite, 42 in the North / North-East, 28 in the South-East, 5 in the North-West, 37 in the South, 12 in Nippes and 29 in Grand'Anse.
