On the instructions of the Commander-in-Chief a.i. Frantz Elbé, the presence of the police has been reinforced, particularly in the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince, in order to continue to fight against bandits and facilitate the free movement of the population.

Several police officers who are part of the Anti-Vehicle Theft Brigade have been deployed in various neighborhoods, such as Delmas, Puits Blain, Vivy Mitchell, Route de Frères.

The police are stepping up patrols, search people and checking vehicles in these areas. These interventions are intended to track down and arrest in particular Vitelhomme Innocent, the leader of the "Kraze Barye" gang and all his accomplices.
