The Chamber of Merchants and Entrepreneurs of Haiti (CCOEH) expresses its unconditional support to the population of the North-East, who despite pressures, continues with determination the construction work of the Irrigation Canal with water intake on the Massacre River, an essential project for the economic and agricultural development of the entire country and in particular for the inhabitants of the Far North.

The CCOEH is convinced that Haiti, as a sovereign Nation, has the indisputable right to work to ensure its food security by using all its natural resources responsibly.

The finalization of this work is crucial and the CCOEH calls on the Haitian Government to take all necessary measures for the successful completion of the construction of this irrigation canal. It also encourages economic actors and civil society to support this crucial approach for the future of Haiti.
