Sunday April 5, 2024, Frantz Elbé, Acting Commander-in-Chief of the Haitian National Police (PNH) led a workshop with the aim of, on the one hand, strengthening the security system in prison centers, and on the other hand, track down all the inmates who escaped during several escapes organized by armed bandits in certain prisons.

Elbé gave several units and departmental police directorates a formal order to arrest and return behind bars all individuals who escaped from various prisons (National Penitentiary, Croix-des-Bouquets Prison, Cabaret, Port-de-Paix).

The PNH launched a crackdown campaign against all escapees wherever they are on the national territory. Here is a first list of 18 escapees who are very dangerous, the police are looking for them everywhere, we ask citizens, members of the civil police who notice one of these individuals on this list, to be careful and not to intervene but to report the place where they are hiding to the Police.

Let's remember that the security issue is the concern of all citizens; therefore, it is only through collaboration between the police and the population that we will be able to combat all acts of banditry in the country.
