The objective of this meeting was to sympathize with the family members of police officers killed in the line of duty and to understand the expectations of the victims' relatives.
"The country will not be able to hand over your children to you. But we can ensure that Haiti never forgets them for the loyal services rendered to the nation," declared Garry Conille adding "The police officers have made enormous sacrifices to serve the Nation. I undertake to provide the full unconditional support of my Government to their family."
During this meeting Conille pledged to provide immediate support to the parents of the killed agents. The Head of Government declared that he will ensure an adequate, responsible and rapid institutional response to the parents of police victims and that he will ensure the creation of a legal framework to support all families of police victims in the exercise of their functions.
