As part of an interview for the sustainable development magazine "DevHaïti", Xavier Michon, Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP - Haiti), highlights his optimistic and proactive vision for Haiti. He recalls that the UNDP positions itself as a partner ready to provide its expertise and resources to support Haiti in its evolution, in collaboration with the private sector, Civil Society, public institutions, as well as technical and financial partners.

He insists on the need to change the negative narrative often associated with Haiti, by highlighting its opportunities and potential for development. He says he is witness in Haiti to a dynamic youth and significant comparative advantages, notably its geostrategic position and its cultural and human resources.

Michon advocates a vision shared and appropriated by all Haitians, based on respect, listening and consultation between the different actors in society.
