Paul Harry Voltaire, Director General of the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES), received this week an envelope of 1.5 million dollars from the Taiwanese Government (Republic of China).

It was the Ambassador of Taiwan, Wen-Jiann KU, who presented him with this envelope, representing the 6th and final tranche of funding in support of the "Kore Pèp" program as part of the partnership agreement signed between the two countries on February 24, 2023.

Paul Harry Voltaire, once again, promised to use the funds made available to the FAES wisely. He also took the opportunity to thank Ambassador KU, on behalf of the Haitian Government, for his active solidarity with the FAES and for his tireless work for the well-being of the Haitian population.

The Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan), Wen-Jiann KU, underlined the desire of the Taiwanese Government to come to the aid of the Haitian Government "This 6th tranche demonstrates our desire to create an atmosphere conducive to the return of democratic institutions in the country in order to contribute to sustainable development."
