Tuesday July 23, 2024, the Ambassador of Taiwan (Republic of China) to Haiti, Richard Wen-Jiann Ku, accompanied by the second advisor of the Embassy, ​​Raogo Jyr-geng Wu, received the engineer Raphaël Hosty, Minister of Works Public, who was accompanied by two members of his cabinet, for a work meeting.

The discussions mainly focused on cooperation between Haiti and Taiwan in the areas of infrastructure and energy.

Ambassador Ku expressed Taiwan's commitment to supporting certain initiatives, particularly in the "Plaine de l'Arbre" region, and to facilitating academic exchanges by offering scholarships to Taiwan. These scholarships will target the fields of hydraulics, telecommunications and civil engineering.

Minister Hosty was accompanied by two members of his cabinet, the engineer Wilson Edouard, Chief of Staff, and Jacques Emmanuel Mexil, member of the cabinet.
