Wednesday July 24 marked the third and final day of State exams for the 9th fundamental year. Jean Wilnor Pierre, General Coordinator of the Departmental Directorates of Education, Kendy Nicolas, Director of Fundamental Education and Étienne Louisseul France, Departmental Director of Education of the West expressed, on behalf of Minister Antoine Augustin, their satisfaction with the to the conduct of exams tests on a national scale.

"It’s a total success for the country. A great satisfaction for the ministry. The exams took place without major incidents. For the entire country, we were expecting 186,370 candidates from the 9th fundamental year, from the Normal Schools for Teachers and Kindergartens (ENIJE), and from the Family Education Centers (CEF). 95.51% of candidates responded."

For his part, the Director of Fundamental Education said he was satisfied with the quality of the texts offered to candidates "When we look at the attitude of candidates in the examination rooms, when we speak to them, we deduce that the exams have been generally within the reach of all students, as decided by the Ministry." In conclusion he indicated that all arrangements are being made to start the process of correcting copies as soon as possible.

Note that in Ganthier, there were difficulties due to the violence of armed groups. However, the candidates from this school district were relocated and they composed normally at Fonds-Parisien and Petite-Place Cazeau as those from Croix-des-Bouquets were welcomed in centers in Tabarre.
