Friday, August 9, 2024, Raphaël Hosty, Minister of Public Works, visited the Maritime and Navigation Service of Haiti (SEMANAH) in Belleville.

This visit highlighted the many challenges facing the institution, including the state of the premises, the lack of material resources and the financial difficulties linked to the decline in royalties from the maritime sector.

Faced with these challenges, the Minister made a firm commitment with his office to put in place a recovery plan to revitalize SEMANAH.

In a strong gesture, he also took the time to collect the grievances of employees, thus underlining his desire to join forces for a stronger and more dynamic maritime future in Haiti.

This visit, marked by conviviality, demonstrates the Government's determination to support the maritime sector and to carry out reforms essential for the development of the country.
