This obligation of remembrance organized by the Port-au-Prince Bar Association in collaboration with the State University of Haiti, is of great importance. According to the Citizen Protector Renan Hédouville, the personalities who worked in favor of democracy must remain alive in the collective memory. He denounces the indifference of the judicial authorities towards criminals who benefit from freedom of movement.
Four years after the assassination of Me Monferrier Dorval, the president of the Bar Association of Port-au-Prince, Maître Patrick Pierre Louis, expressed his regret at the unconsciousness of justice officials in the face of the seriousness of this tragedy. He highlighted the slowness of the judicial system in processing cases and also expressed his concerns about the management of the community, which he considers unsatisfactory, recalling "the only crime attributable to our president is the fact of having approached too close to the fire..."
In addition, a talk was held by students from the Faculty of Law and Economics on the crucial issue of constitutional reform.
