iciHaiti - Humanitarian : Japan alongside detained women and minors

As part of the project to improve the living conditions of detainees, funded by the Embassy of Japan in Haiti, a ceremony to hand over equipment was held this week at the Center for the Reintegration of Minors in Conflict with the Law (CERMICOL). This Program is implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP-Haiti) with the support of the United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti (BINUH).
The equipment provided includes mattresses, hygiene kits, swimsuits and other essential accessories. This equipment was added to other donations made for the benefit of women and minors at the Center, with the aim of contributing to the improvement of detention conditions at CERMICOL.
The project also aims to expand the center's infrastructure by building new rooms.
