As part of the pre-established emergency plan, the West Departmental Directorate of the Ministry of Public Works is continuing its interventions related to the sanitation program in the town of Cité Soleil during the end-of-year celebrations.

Currently, the work is focused on National #1 in the vicinity of the hospital housing the Isaïe Jeanty Maternity Hospital, commonly known as Chancerelles.

The cleaning work on the roadway, littered with tons of household waste, sediments accumulated up to 1 meter high and puddles of muddy and stagnant water, is progressing gradually.

These interventions will now allow free access to traffic on this important road axis that has been paralyzed for months now.
