iciHaiti - Displaced Persons Camps : Distribution of Food Kits to more than 500 women
On Friday, April 18, 2025, at the initiative of Pedrica Saint Jean, Minister of Women's Affairs and Women's Rights, the Ministry distributed food kits to more than 500 women living in difficult situations in camps for displaced persons in the Port-au-Prince metropolitan area.

With this gesture, the Ministry intends to demonstrate its commitment to continuing to support all women, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, to bring them a little hope through the Ministry during this difficult time.

Ronique Paul Jean, the Departmental Coordinator for the West, acknowledged that this gesture is not large because there are not enough kits to distribute for all women, but it is significant because it will help dozens of women put something on their children's plates during the Easter holidays.

Furthermore, Ronique Paul Jean also took the opportunity to announce that in the coming months, the Ministry will launch the Economic Integration Project for Young Women with Children, a project that aims to provide training in various professions to more than 4,000 young mothers in more than seven departments. The objective of this project is to promote the empowerment of these women through the skills they will learn, which will help them meet their needs and those of their families.
