iciHaiti - Social : The Ministry of Public Works building vandalized
The Ministry of Public Works (MTPTC) informs the public in general, and its institutional partners in particular, that its central building, located at 25, rue Toussaint Louverture, in Delmas 33, was the target, on the morning of June 11, 2025, of acts of characterized vandalism.

Individuals claiming to be from the National Equipment Center (CNE) threw stones at the building, causing significant damage, particularly to the main gate.

These violent actions, motivated by demands for the payment of salary arrears, are part of a series of reprehensible acts that have targeted the Ministry since last week. The Ministry wishes to reiterate that, in accordance with the provisions of the Decree dated September 2nd, 2024, the National Equipment Center (CNE) has been dissolved and all of its materials, equipment, movable and immovable property transferred to the Haitian Armed Forces (FAd'H).

To date, the administrative processing of files relating to the former CNE personnel is currently under review, under the joint coordination of the Prime Minister's Office, the Office of Management and Human Resources, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MTPTC).

The Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MTPTC) strongly condemns the acts of violence and sabotage perpetrated against its facilities, including the stone-throwing targeting its premises, which endangered the physical safety of its employees and seriously hampered the functioning of the administration. The Ministry calls on all employees and agents of the former CNE to remain calm and collected, and urges them not to succumb to the temptation of violence. It reaffirms its commitment to dialogue, respect for the law, the preservation of republican order, and the search for concerted solutions.
