iciHaiti - Turtle Island : Seizure of more than a ton of cocaine 14/07/2025 07:53:10
During this major operation, led by Acting Superintendent Jeir Pierre and conducted jointly by officers from the Drug Trafficking Brigade (BLTS) and the Departmental Law Enforcement Unit (UDMO), 1,045 kilos of cocaine, distributed in 49 bags, were seized, while three Bahamian citizens were killed in a shootout with police. The Bahamas Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fred Mitchell, confirmed that his ministry had been informed of the deaths, but indicated that authorities were still awaiting further details. IH/ iciHaiti
