The Departmental Coordination of the National School Feeding Program (PNCS) in the South Department conducted a series of supervisory visits to several schools benefiting from the program during November and December 2025, with the support of PNCS partners : the World Food Programme, the Bureau of Nutrition and Development (WFP/BND), and the French Development Agency (AFD).

These visits aimed to assess the proper functioning of the school feeding service, monitor the nutritional quality of the meals served, evaluate the condition of the canteen infrastructure, and verify the procedures for managing and storing food.

Taking advantage of these visits, the supervisory team also conducted awareness sessions for school administrators, cooks, and school councils on best practices for hygiene, food storage, and food preparation for the benefit of schoolchildren.

Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of a healthy, balanced, and safe diet for children's physical and cognitive development and academic success.

Through this initiative, the PNCS/South Departmental Coordination reaffirms its commitment to continuously improving the quality of school canteen services in the department and extends its sincere thanks to all stakeholders involved in the canteen program.
