On Wednesday, April 8, the Municipal Commission of Cap-Haitien brought together relevant stakeholders around the Communal Sector Table on the Environment (TSCE) to advance concrete actions in favor of the municipality.

Taking into account the city's environmental issues, this activity is part of a continuation of actions already undertaken to better manage Morne du Cap, the watersheds, the implementation of a plan for cleaning ravines and sewers, the management of the coastline, as well as the protection of areas at risk and the overall preservation of our environment.

By mutual agreement with all the stakeholders gathered, the Municipal Commission adopted the following measures : the official launch of the Morne du Cap Watershed Management Committee on April 14 at the Town Hall Hall, as well as the launch of the “Konbit Zero Waste” program in partnership with the Ministry of the Environment and the National Solid Waste Management Service (SNGRS) on the last Saturday in April, as part of "Saturday Citizen".

Furthermore, a coastline development campaign will be organized around May 1st, on the occasion of Agriculture and Labor Day, reflecting a collective dynamic that will mobilize institutions, technicians, partners and citizens to build together a cleaner, safer and more sustainable Cap-Haitien.
