On Thursday, May 28, 2026, following the launch by authorities of the project to rehabilitate the section of National Route 3 (RN3) from the SOS intersection to the Airport intersection (https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-47544-cap-haitien-launch-of-the-rn3-rehabilitation-project.html), technicians from the City Hall's Department of Public Works and Infrastructure, in conjunction with the Urban Planning Department, accompanied the company that will carry out the work as part of the project's initial site preparation phase.

During this first technical visit, the teams took the opportunity to begin marking out the area that will be used for widening the road, with the goal of equipping this 2.4 km stretch with four lanes of traffic.

This project has reached this stage after extensive technical work and several preparatory phases, all part of the municipal authorities' vision to modernize the city's entrance, improve traffic flow, and provide the population with infrastructure better suited to the Commune's development needs, as outlined in the Municipal Development Plan.
