Cap-Haitien : Resumption of rehabilitation work on the road section linking Rue 5 to the International Airport road

On Saturday, May 30, Minister of Public Works Joseph Almathe Pierre Louis, following a planning and technical coordination session with local authorities and stakeholders, announced the resumption of rehabilitation work on a highly strategic axis : the road section connecting Rue 5 to the Cap-Haïtien International Airport road.

This project is now entering its decisive phase on the final remaining section of the Boulevard, approximately 600 linear meters to be completed. Aware of the major economic, tourism, and social impact of this infrastructure for the country's second-largest city, the Prime Minister used the past few days to address the technical constraints that had been hindering the project. The objective is clear: to ensure rapid, smooth, and sustainable execution, while minimizing the impact on the daily lives of users and businesses in the area.

The resumption of this work aligns with the Ministry's vision of accelerating the opening up and modernization of the national road infrastructure.

During a press conference, a brief report on the ongoing sanitation activities in the city of Cap-Haïtien, involving the Ministries of Public Works, Environment, and the Interior, and the National Solid Waste Management Service (SNGRS), was presented. Minister Pierre Louis also outlined the progress of the rehabilitation work on the Carrefour SOS - Carrefour de l’Aéroport section of the RN3 highway. https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-47632-cap-haitien-first-technical-visit-to-the-construction-site-of-the-rn3-section.html
