On Tuesday, June 23, 2026, as part of the United Nations Peacebuilding Week in New York, Minister of Planning Sandra Paulemon participated in a meeting on operationalizing peacebuilding efforts under the theme "Partnerships in Action : Operationalizing Peacebuilding Efforts for Real Impact. Building the Future : Strengthening the Practical Impact of Peacebuilding."

This meeting brought together representatives of Member States, United Nations agencies, and several development partners. Discussions focused on the importance of strengthening coordination among the various actors and promoting integrated approaches capable of producing sustainable results for the benefit of the population.

Minister Paulemon’s participation reflects Haiti’s commitment to remaining actively involved in international discussions on improving the impact of partnerships and peacebuilding mechanisms.

On the sidelines of this meeting, the Minister held several discussions with representatives of Member States, United Nations agencies, and development partners. The discussions focused on prospects for cooperation with Haiti, as well as ways to strengthen partnerships in support of peacebuilding, stabilization, and sustainable development.
