In late June 2026, La Fabrique des Arts, in partnership with the Institute for the Promotion of Development of Education and Culture (IPDEC), launched a regular drumming program for young people in the city of Les Cayes.

Led by drummers Ricardo Paisible and Fen Josil, the first sessions introduced participants to traditional Haitian rhythms in an environment that fosters learning, practice, and the transmission of knowledge.

Through this initiative, young people will gradually develop their technique, their sense of rhythm, and their understanding of a musical heritage deeply rooted in Haitian cultural identity. This program is part of an effort to promote artistic practices, preserve intangible heritage, and facilitate intergenerational transmission.
