Thanks to the strong mobilization of field teams, community leaders, local authorities, and partners, the distribution campaign for Long-Lasting Insecticidal Nets (LLINs) has strengthened the fight against malaria in the communes of Jérémie, Roseaux, Abricots, Dame-Marie, Anse-d’Hainault, Les Irois, Moron, and Chambellan-Marfranc.

The results demonstrate the scale of this operation :

▪ 148,846 mosquito nets distributed;

▪ 72% coverage achieved;

▪ 9,390 pregnant women protected;

▪ 34,067 children under the age of 5 protected;

▪ 60,564 households reached.

Funded by the Global Fund, with support from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) acting as the Principal Recipient, this distribution campaign is implemented by the Ministry of Public Health through the Infectious and Transmissible Diseases Coordination Unit and the National Malaria Control Program.

Beyond the figures, this campaign means thousands of families are better protected against malaria thanks to increased access to prevention measures. The use of a fully digitized system also improved operational monitoring and contributed to more effective coverage of the targeted households.
