54th Meeting of the World Tourism Organization

As part of her participation in the 54th meeting of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) for the Americas in Quito, Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Haitian Minister of Tourism with his Ecuadorian counterpart Freddy Ehlers, participated Wednesday in a bilateral meeting to finalize issues related to the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on tourism, which should be signed on Thursday. The Minister Villedrouin also participate as a panelist at the table on sustainable tourism at the fourth plenary session of the Organization of American States (OAS). The Minister announced that the WTO was included in the resolutions of the CAM (UNWTO Commission for the Americas), the study proposed by Haiti on the benefits of Muilti-destination in the Caribbean.

Annual Report of the BNC

Mr. Jean-Philippe Vixamar, President of the Board of Directors of Banque Nationale de Credit (BNC), released its Annual Report 2011, which reported a profit of 215.3 million gourdes. According to the report, the BNCimproved its financial health in several ways : the operating result in 2011 increased by 3% compared to the previous year ; the quality of the loan portfolio, whose unproductive rate pass of 10.74% (30-09-2010) to 9,48% (30-09-2011) ; balance sheet size increased from 22.07% to 23.12% on September 30 to September 30, 2011 (compared to the banking sector) ; market share of total deposits pass of 21.88% at eptember 30, 2010 to 23.45% at September 30, 2011.

Level II training for 25 trainers

25 coaches from all sports have attended a training level II at the Multipurpose Training Centre of the Ministry of Sports at the Croix des Bouquets, as part of the State Program of Certification of Sports Executives (PECCS), designed by the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Civic Action, in order to homologate the titles and regulate the activities of actors in sport and physical activity.
