The Hotel Royal Oasis almost ready

The work of the Royal Oasis Hotel in Petionville are almost complete, and stores have opened on the floor this week. These 14 shops that offer handicrafts and goods to local and international visitors, will allow business owners to share their Haitian culture.

Himmler Rébu is no longer at the head of GREH

At the end of the General Meeting held on Sunday 16 September, a new boardtaken over the Grand Rally for the Evolution of Haiti (GREH). Marc Elie Nelson (29) replaces Himmler Rébu at the head of GREH while Lucner Gabriel and Guitho François are respectively Vice-President and Secretary-General of the new Board. The former colonel Himmler Rébu painted a mixed picture of its 8 years at the head of GREH and said he was confident of the ability of the new board, to achieve the objectives of the party.

Third invitation of Laurent Lamothe

The Deputy Sadrac Dieudonné announced that the Commission Ethics and Anti-corruption of the Lower House had sent an invitation to the Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe for Friday, September 21. The members of the Commission that hopes the presence of the Prime Minister, after two convocations deferred, awaiting of Head of Government, of answers and explanations on : the strategy against high prices, insecurity, the socio-economic situation of country, the management of social programs as well as the corruption charges against the government.

Project of Support for the Production and Processing of milk

Officials of the Ministry of Agriculture, local authorities and community leaders of Thomazeau, launched on Sept. 18, the Project of Support for the Production and Processing of milk of Thomazeau. This project funded by the Haiti Reconstruction Fund (HRF) will be achieved by MARMDR in collaboration with FAO. The future milk processing unit will allow producers to have a new source of income.
