Friday, spokesman Edwin Millan announced that the U.S. Border Patrol arrested a group of 46 men and women of Haitian origin after landing on a beach on the west coast of Puerto Rico. Millan stated that some of these migrants were dehydrated after their trip in an open 30-foot boat, but were otherwise healthy. Dragnet of the PNH Inspector Garry Desrosiers, deputy spokesman of the National Police of Haiti (PNH), confirmed that twenty individuals were arrested in recent days in the metropolitan area for various crimes and misdemeanors. Among those arrested are Saint Jean Garveny and Joachim Edmond suspected in the kidnapping of former Colonel Irvin Méhu, May 29 in the area of the Cul-de-sac and Pierre Richard, the number two of the gang "base Vampire" which operates in Wharf Jeremie. World Ocean Day Saturday on the occasion of the "World Ocean Day", the General Directorate of National Port Authority (APN) is associated with the whole port and maritime community of the Republic, to wish the 140 million human beings who live of the ocean a good east on the occasion of this celebration.
