46 Haitian migrants arrested in Puerto Rico

Friday, spokesman Edwin Millan announced that the U.S. Border Patrol arrested a group of 46 men and women of Haitian origin after landing on a beach on the west coast of Puerto Rico. Millan stated that some of these migrants were dehydrated after their trip in an open 30-foot boat, but were otherwise healthy.

Inspector Garry Desrosiers, deputy spokesman of the National Police of Haiti (PNH), confirmed that twenty individuals were arrested in recent days in the metropolitan area for various crimes and misdemeanors.
